Raydioz Music machines

Introducing Radioz Music Machines, I've spent years working on this series each taking an enormous amount of design and work to complete. They are primarily a canvas for my art, but more than that they are fully functioning designs bringing together paintings, woodworking, welding, mechanical movement, electrical, lighting, sound and history. Some are made from scratch and others from  non-salvadgeable vintage radios. I only buy radios that are in very poor condition, many in pieces including the carcases, so my first step is always to rebuild the original box so it represents it's original structure. When I get them with the original non working tube parts I make sure to display these so the viewer can see what the technology of the time looked like, the supporting bases
