1950 Crossley Midget 9
Introducing the 1950 Crossley model 9 Midget radioI call it “ Midget 9” This radio is made from a plastic called Bakelite and it was brown, a color common in its use. The paint scheme now is this designer blue, gold and white that accents it's sleek futuristic look. I also managed to save and replace the original speaker screen and radio dial. The base is a heavy gauge iron that I used to contrast the size and weight of this small radio, It also houses the original tube parts for displayInside this Midget 9 is a powerful little sound system that can be controlled using any Bluetooth capable device. I was able to build an aluminum sled to hold all the new equipment and slide it cleanly into the casing, because you can't screw into the Bakelite material. This includes two 25 watt speakers, a 50 watt amp and a bluetooth receiver. This is a functioning work of art that that packs a powerful punch.it me. It’s easy.
